Arm(E3)NGAGE Events Highlights
The past few weeks have been nothing short of impactful, leaving me with a sense of growth and gratitude for the experiences and opportunities that have come my way.
The Arm (E3)NGAGE ecosystem event on 4th February 2023 was a resounding success, with attendees from various universities and academic institutions in Ghana. The event was organized to bring together the ARM-y (Arm University Student Clubs) members from Ashesi University , University of Ghana , Valley Valley View University , Accra Technical University , Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi , and Academic City University .
Stephania Obaa Yaa Bempomaa , Lilly Koranteng , and I were on hand to ensure the students were welcomed and registered for the event. We prepared a booth with stickers for name tags, ARM-branded T-shirts, and water to help them register with ease. The students were prompt in arriving, so we decided to engage them in an icebreaker where they named technology components from the letter A – Z. This helped to create a relaxed atmosphere and get them into the event's spirit.
Once the program started, the audience was introduced to my Co-MCs El-Karece Asiedu , Derrick Sosoo , and me, who reminded them what the event was about. We began by playing an: Introduction to Arm video series, with questions asked and awards given after each session to test their concentration level and keep them engaged. The Maker Fair event was also recapped for them in a short video so that they could see Arm's impact.
An Introduction to Arm Education video content was played, and I encouraged them to take the Arduino certification, as only 13 people have it in the country.
This was followed by a EDGE AI FOUNDATION Presentation led by Derrick, who awarded #microbit to people who answered tough questions about it.
Next was an Arduino Certification Overview by Ruth O. This encouraged the students to become more interested in being involved in the Embedded Learning Challenge, ELC #community.
The presentations from the various Arm Student Clubs (ARM-y) started with Ashesi University, then Valley View University, Academic City led by Louisa Ayamga , and finally, the University of Ghana. The presentations showcased the #projects and initiatives each club had been working on, allowing the students to learn from each other.
An AI for Good video content was played, and a short question-and-answer session followed it. The event was wrapped up with Closing Remarks given by Margaret Richardson Ansah Ph.D - Followed by group photographs, lunch, and socialization.
Overall, the Arm (E3)NGAGE ecosystem event held at the 英国文化协会 was hugely successful. The students left with a renewed sense of inspiration and motivation to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the technology industry. It was a great opportunity for them to network with other students and learn from industry experts, and we look forward to more events like this in the future.

As someone passionate about #technology and its potential to drive positive change, I am honored to be a part of Arm mission to promote change in Africa. Arm has always been at the forefront of innovation. Their recent launch of the world's first #sustainability Lab (CCE) and Arm Ecosystem Lab in collaboration with the 美国国务院 and Arm labeled the Connecting Climate Entrepreneurs (CCE) is a testament to this.
I had the honor of attending the launch event, which took place on Thursday, 9th February 2023, at Academic City University . The event was attended by representatives from the 美国国务院 , Arm , Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs , and more. These cutting-edge labs are designed to foster student and community creativity and entrepreneurship.
The launch event was a momentous occasion, and it was inspiring to see so many people coming together to celebrate these labs' potential for innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa. The labs are designed to foster a collaborative environment that encourages students and entrepreneurs to work together and share ideas that will help to address some of the biggest challenges facing our world today.
The launch event was a success, and I would like to thank all the stakeholders, facilitators, delegates, and guests who made it possible. Arm's networks of Labs are a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation, and I am excited to see what the future holds for them. The labs will play a significant role in helping unlock the potential of the next generation of African entrepreneurs, innovators, and technologists. I look forward to seeing the impact they will have on our continent.
Lastly, the launch of the Arm Student Club at the University of Ghana by the delegation from Arm is a great opportunity for students to gain more practical knowledge and experience in the field of engineering sciences. This initiative will add immense value to the school of engineering sciences and equip students with the necessary skills to thrive in the tech industry. As an alumna/alumnus of the university, I am thrilled to see such exciting developments taking place and look forward to seeing the impact of the Arm Student Club on the future of engineering in Ghana.
