The Arizona City/County Management Association (ACMA) held it's second NextGen Leadership Conference last week, and enjoyed the company of a large number of younger professionals seeking information and advice on how to move forward in management careers in public service. These conferences will likely be provided in Scottsdale and Flagstaff on alternating schedules. Based on the robust, growing attendance from the first two offerings, these conferences will likely assist hundreds of public service professionals across Arizona and neighboring states in the years to come.
Designed to be a pragmatic and hands-on experience, these conferences feature one-on-one coaching time with seasoned public service professionals, and presentations from experienced, practicing public servants that are geared to be immediately useful. The conference is also sensitive to cost and travel restrictions that may be a part of the young professional's decision making process.
