Arguing - You can't win an argument.
“You can't win an argument. You can't because if you lose it, you lose it; and if you win it, you lose it.” - Dale Carnegie
Nine times out of ten, an argument ends with each of the people convinced, more than ever, that they are right.
So, there is only one way to win an argument and that is to avoid it.
How do you avoid arguments? Control your ego and your temper, don’t be offensive OR defensive, keep your mouth shut, and listen.
Always give people a chance to talk. Let them finish.
Do not resist, defend or debate. Doing these builds barriers of misunderstanding you need to build bridges of understanding. … look for areas of agreement and build on them.
“People’s minds are changed through observation (and education) and not through argument.” - Will Rogers
