Argentina: Vaca Muerta shale oil zone under military police jurisdiction
The Argentine government will reinforce security in the Vaca Muerta oil fields by placing the shale formation under the jurisdiction of the military police. For the government, it is imperative to safeguard the physical integrity of the hydrocarbon essential and provide physical protection to the facilities.
Vaca Muerta is viewed as a key source of foreign exchange for Argentina′s economy by both President Mauricio Macri's government and opposition Peronist candidate Alberto Fernandez. Having attracted the attention of the main foreign oil companies in recent years, the shale play has also become the target of protests by unions, environmentalists and indigenous groups.
Vaca Muerta is thought to contain one of the world’s largest reserves of unconventional oil and gas, and remains largely untapped.

5 年jajaja...qué exagerados. 200 gendarmes, teniendo en cuenta los ciclos de trabajo y los francos, hablan de unos 50, máximo 60 efectivos en las rutas desplegados por todo Neuquén...y si pones retenes de a 6/7 personas, hablás de unos 7 retenes máximo que podrías tener en todo el trayecto de rutas...y eso sin contar si querés proteger la entrada de algún Yacimiento en particular. Para dar "protección", tendrías que destinar unas 1200 personas, y así cubrir de una manera más o menos efectiva la territorialidad de Vaca Muerta.
