Argentina in free trade negotiations with USA, China, Canada, EFTA and South Korea

Argentina and Latin American neighbor Brazil, fresh from striking to free trade with the European Union after around two decades of negotiations, are now discussing another possible deal with the United States. The chancellor Jorge Faurie said that is also talking with Brazil about free trade deals with China, but also underlined progress on trade deals with Canada, European EFTA and South Korea.

Marcos Pe?a, Argentina's chief of staff, said that a free trade deal with the United States was "more than a long-term project" rather than anything imminent.
