Arena Review #8 - Reitz Arena - Baltimore, MD
Reitz Arena is the Greyhounds Home Arena for Men's Basketball and is located in Baltimore, MD. The venue seats 2,100 and opened in 1984. The arena, adjoining the Andrew White Student Center, has fully retractable seating on both sidelines of the arena to create a full sized ballroom. Reitz Arena is a great small-sized venue to take in a Division 1 College Basketball game. The crowd was ecstatic last night as the Loyola Greyhounds hosted the UMBC Retrievers in a Non-Conference game. The Greyhounds and Retrievers traded baskets the entire game but UMBC held off a late rally by Loyola to win by the final score of 72-69. The Greyhounds' Kenneth Jones had 16 points and 3 rebounds while the Retrievers' Dion Brown had 21 points and 4 rebounds in the victory.
I would highly recommend visiting Reitz Arena if you are ever in Baltimore, MD and are looking to take in a high quality Division 1 Basketball game as Reitz Arena is a great venue. Every seat at Reitz Arena has you up close to the action on the court and there isn't a bad seat to be had. I will give Reitz Arena 5 out of 5 stars as the small-sized venue was electric and the fans were very passionate and engaged as well. I am looking forward to visiting several Arenas in Baltimore, MD this weekend. Until then.
