Arena Review #49 - Stuart C. Siegel Center - Richmond, VA
The Stuart C. Siegel Center is the Rams home court for Men's and basketball and is located in Richmond, VA. The venue seats 7,637 and opened in 1999. The student section, dubbed the "Rowdy Rams", is extremely passionate and near deafening during contests. In 2012-2013, the Rowdy Rams (the student section) received the Naismith Student Section of the Year Award, recognizing the best student section in college basketball. The Stuart C. Siegel Center is a great medium-sized venue to take in a Division 1 College Basketball game. The crowd was ecstatic yesterday afternoon as the VCU Rams hosted the George Washington Colonials in an Atlantic 10 game. The Rams led the Colonials for the entire game and won by the final score of 75-51. The Rams were led by Mike'L Simms' 14 points while the Colonials Maceo Jack had 12 points.
I would highly recommend visiting the Stuart C. Siegel Center if you are ever in Richmond, VA and are looking to take in a high quality Division 1 basketball game as the Stuart C. Siegel Center is a great venue. Every seat in the Stuart C. Siegel Center has you up close to the action on the court and there isn’t a bad seat to be had. I will give the Stuart C. Siegel Center 5 out of 5 stars as the medium-sized venue was electric and the fans were very passionate and engaged as well. I am looking forward to visiting several arenas in New York next weekend. Until then.

5 年Great arena, had the chance to cover a few games there some years ago. That athletic department was very well-run; I imagine it's carried over post-Norwood Teague (who ruined a potentially great career as an AD with his nasty behavior towards women).
