Arena Review #34 - Cameron Hall - Lexington, Virginia
Cameron Hall is the Keydets' Home Arena for Men's Basketball and is located in Lexington, VA. The venue seats 5,029 and opened in 1981. In July 2013, Cameron Hall was ranked among the top venues in mid-major basketball by MidMajorMadness.com. Cameron Hall is a great medium-sized venue to take in a Division 1 College Basketball game. The crowd was ecstatic yesterday afternoon as the VMI Keydets played The Citadel Bulldogs in a Southern Conference Game. The Keydets led the majority of the game, withstanding many runs by the Bulldogs, and eventually pulled away late to win by the final score of 70-63. The Keydets' Brennan Watkins had 14 points and 6 assists while the Bulldogs' Quentin Millora-Brown had 18 points and 10 rebounds in the defeat.
I would highly recommend visiting Cameron Hall if you are ever in Lexington, Virginia and are looking to take in a high quality Division 1 Basketball game as Cameron Hall is a great venue. Every seat at Cameron Hall has you up close to the action on the court and there isn't a bad seat to be had. I will give Cameron Hall 5 out of 5 stars as the medium-sized venue was electric and the fans were very passionate and engaged as well. I am looking forward to visiting several Arenas in Pennsylvania next weekend. Until then.
