Arena Review #33 - Alumni Gymnasium - Lawrenceville, New Jersey
Alumni Gymnasium is the Broncs' Home Arena for Men's Basketball and is located in Lawrenceville, NJ. The venue seats 1,650 and opened in 1958. The Northeast Conference men's basketball championship games were held there from 1993 to 1995. Alumni Gymnasium is a great small-sized venue to take in a Division 1 College Basketball game. The crowd was ecstatic last night as the Rider Broncs played the Manhattan Jaspers in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Game. The Broncs and Jaspers traded baskets the majority of the 1st Half before the Broncs pulled away in the 2nd Half to win by the final score of 71-58. The Broncs' Mervin James had 27 points and 6 rebounds while the Jaspers' Daniel Rouzan had 16 points and 7 rebounds in the defeat.
I would highly recommend visiting Alumni Gymnasium if you are ever in Lawrenceville, New Jersey and are looking to take in a high quality Division 1 Basketball game as Alumni Gymnasium is a great venue. Every seat at Alumni Gymnasium has you up close to the action on the court and there isn't a bad seat to be had. I will give Alumni Gymnasium 4.5 out of 5 stars as the small-sized venue was electric and the fans were very passionate and engaged as well. I am looking forward to visiting several Arenas in Virginia next weekend. Until then.
