Arena Review #12 - Hagan Arena - Philadelphia, PA
Hagan Arena is the Hawks' Home Arena for Men's Basketball and is located in Philadelphia, PA. The venue seats 4,200 and opened in 2009. Hagan Arena also includes the Ramsay Basketball Center, named after legendary coach Jack Ramsay, which is a two-story, 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m2) wing with locker rooms, offices, study space, conference rooms, and a Hall of Fame room. Hagan Arena is a great medium-sized venue to take in a Division 1 College Basketball game. The crowd was ecstatic Saturday afternoon as the Saint Joseph's Hawks hosted the Loyola Chicago Ramblers in an Atlantic Ten Conference game. The Hawks jumped out to a quick lead and never relinquished it and won going away by the final score of 86-55. The Hawks' Lynn Greer III had 17 points and 6 rebounds while the Ramblers' Philip Alston had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the defeat.
I would highly recommend visiting Hagan Arena if you are ever in Philadelphia, PA and are looking to take in a high quality Division 1 Basketball game as Hagan Arena is a great venue. Every seat at Hagan Arena has you up close to the action on the court and there isn't a bad seat to be had. I will give Hagan Arena 5 out of 5 stars as the medium-sized venue was electric and the fans were very passionate and engaged as well. I am looking forward to visiting several Arenas in Philadelphia this week. Until then.
