Arena Rankings - Category #1 - Best 6th Man
I visited 25 Division 1 College Basketball Arenas during the 2019-20 College Basketball Season and plan to visit at least 30 Arenas each season. At my current pace I will have visited all 357 Division 1 Arenas by the end of the 2029-30 College Basketball Season. I currently have 10 trips planned for next season including visits to Chicago, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, New York City, and Providence. I will rank the Arenas I saw this past season in 5 categories - Most Modern Arena, Best Court Design, Best 6th Man, Best Tradition, and Best Atmosphere.
The Arena that had the Best 6th Man of the 25 I visited this past season was the Stuart C. Siegel Center. VCU's fans were on their feet the entire game and definitely made life very difficult that particular Saturday afternoon for the George Washington Colonials. The Rams defeated the Colonials easily that day but were never given a proper conclusion to the season as the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament was cut short and the NCAA Tournament was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Stuart C. Siegel Center was the best environment I have seen thus far and definitely the best in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Last year's winner of this Category was the University of Pittsburgh's Petersen Events Center but VCU's medium-sized Arena is a perfect environment for the Rams and their fans to create havoc for their opponents. I now vote VCU #1 and Pittsburgh #2. I am looking forward to seeing many more Arenas next season.
Let's see if any of the venues I visit in 2020-21 can beat the experience I had at the Stuart C. Siegel Center in late February. Until then.

4 年I hate VCU's arena with a passion, then again I am a GMU alumn lol It is a long rivalry from the CAA days. I do like Pittsburgh arena a lot better, I have been to a game there when Jim Larranaga was still the head coach at GMU.
