Die aream Group SE, Spezialist für Infrastrukturinvestments im Energiebereich, w?chst und baut ihr Gesch?ft aus und entwickelt nun auch Windprojekte. Dafür ist der eigentümergeführte Investment- und Asset-Manager im 20. Jahr des Bestehens auf 50 Mitarbeiter gewachsen.

Bis 2027 sollen in Deutschland knapp 90 Gigawatt Windenergieleistung am Netz sein. Um zum Erreichen des ambitionierten Ziels beizutragen, erweitert die aream Group ihre Aktivit?ten und entwickelt jetzt auch Projekte zum Ausbau der Windkraft an Land in Deutschland mit. Damit erg?nzt aream das Portfolio in der Projektentwicklung, das bisher Photovoltaik und Speicher umfasst. ?Das Co-Development von On-Shore-Windprojekten ist ein weiterer Baustein in unserem Ansatz, die gesamte Wertsch?pfungskette für Erneuerbare-Energien-Investments abzudecken“, sagt Markus W. Voigt, CEO der aream Group.

aream ist in drei Gesch?ftsfeldern aktiv: Neben der Projektentwicklung geh?rt das Asset- und Fondsmanagement mit Windparks in Deutschland und Solarparks in Deutschland, Italien und Spanien dazu. Au?erdem ber?t aream Industrie- und Gewerbekunden sowie Stadtwerke beim Zugang zum Strommarkt der Erneuerbaren Energien: ?Wir unterstützen beispielsweise beim Abschluss von Stromliefervertr?gen, den PPAs, oder bei Projektentwicklung und -umsetzung“, sagt Co-CEO Patrick Lemcke-Braselmann. Darüber hinaus bietet aream Energy-as-a-Service an.

Zum Portfolio geh?ren mittlerweile mehr als 40 aktive Wind- und Solarparks, weitere Projekte sind in der Entwicklung. Um Assets, Projekte und Beratung kümmert sich ein Team von nunmehr 50 Besch?ftigten. Damit hat sich die Mitarbeiterzahl in den vergangenen zwei Jahren um mehr als die H?lfte erh?ht. Mit der Berufung von Patrick Lemcke-Braselmann zum Co-CEO neben Markus Voigt und Christine Brockwell zum Chief Investment Officer hatte aream Anfang des Jahres auf der Führungsebene bereits die Weichen für den weiteren Ausbau des Gesch?fts in Europa gestellt.

Die Zusammenarbeit mit institutionellen Kunden wurde ebenfalls ausgebaut: ?Hier sehen wir im derzeitigen Marktumfeld gro?es Wachstumspotenzial in Europa“, sagt Lemcke-Braselmann. Und auch als Venture Capital Investor ist aream aktiv: ?Wir suchen selektiv Unternehmen im Bereich nachhaltige Infrastruktur, die von unserer Investition nicht nur finanziell, sondern ebenso durch unser Netzwerk und unseren Marktzugang profitieren“, so Lemcke-Braselmann.

Neben der Gesch?ftst?tigkeit in Europa will aream auch die 2018 gegründete PowerOneForOne Foundation st?rken. Die gemeinnützige Gesellschaft f?rdert Non-Profit-Projekte im Bereich Elektrifizierung in l?ndlichen Regionen in L?ndern wie Sri Lanka, Guatemala oder Uganda. ?In Gegenden mit teils kaum vorhandener Energieinfrastruktur wirkt jeder Euro positiv für die Menschen vor Ort. Deshalb ist uns dieses Engagement neben unserem Beitrag zur Energietransformation im industrialisierten Europa sehr wichtig und wir freuen uns über jeden Unterstützer“, sagt Voigt.

aream Group SE, a specialist for infrastructure investments in the energy sector, is growing and expanding its business and has now entered wind project development. To this end, the owner-managed investment and asset manager has grown to 50 employees in its 20th year of operation.

Almost 90 gigawatts of wind energy capacity are to be connected to the grid in Germany by 2027. To contribute to this ambitious goal, aream Group is expanding its activities and has begun developing onshore wind projects. This complements aream's project development portfolio, which previously focused on photovoltaics and storage. ”The co-development of onshore wind projects is a further building block in our approach of covering the entire value chain for renewable energy investments”, says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of aream Group.

aream is operates across three business areas: in addition to project development, this includes asset and fund management with wind farms in Germany and solar parks in Germany, Italy and Spain. In addition, aream advises industrial and commercial customers as well as municipal utilities on entering the renewable energy market: ”For example, we provide support with the conclusion of electricity supply contracts, PPAs, or with project development and realisation”, says Co-CEO Patrick Lemcke-Braselmann. Additionally, aream offers Energy-as-a-Service.

The portfolio now includes more than 40 operational wind and solar parks, with further projects under development. A team of 50 employees now manages assets, projects and consulting services. This represents a more than 50% increase in staff over the past two years. With the appointment of Patrick Lemcke-Braselmann as Co-CEO alongside Markus Voigt and Christine Brockwell as Chief Investment Officer, aream had already set the course for the further expansion of the business in Europe at management level at the beginning of the year.

Cooperation with institutional clients has also expanded: ”We see great growth potential here in Europe in the current market environment”, says Lemcke-Braselmann. aream is also active as a venture capital investor: ”We are selectively looking for companies in the field of sustainable infrastructure that will benefit from our investment not only financially, but also through our network and market access”, says Lemcke-Braselmann.

In addition to its business activities in Europe, aream is committed to strengthening the PowerOneForOne Foundation, established in 2018. The non-profit organisation supports electrification projects in rural regions in countries such as Sri Lanka, Guatemala and Uganda. ”In areas where there is hardly any energy infrastructure, every euro has a positive impact on the local communities. That's why this initiative is so important to us alongside our contribution to the energy transformation in industrialised Europe and we appreciate every supporter”, says Voigt.
