AREA REVAMPED AT IFOOD

This month, iFood's Social Impact area officially evolved into Impact and Sustainability, expanding our vision to look through three pillars: education, environment, and a future of work centered on well-being.
Care for double materiality, through a sustainability perspective, emphasizes our organization's need to address both operations impacting the surroundings and how changes in the environment and society affect our financial performance.
From an impact standpoint, we can say that additionality is one of the most important characteristics for measuring the effectiveness of our initiatives. Additionality refers to the difference our actions make beyond the results that would naturally occur without our intervention. This means not only implementing projects that align with our values but ensuring they create real and measurable value for the communities involved.
This expansion of the area is the result of many outcomes we have achieved with our EMI strategy since 2019. Additionally, it further reinforces our commitment to generating value both for the company and for the ecosystem as a whole. In practical terms, the new Impact and Sustainability area will seek projects that offer innovative and sustainable solutions to persistent problems.
