I am proud to announce the formation of The ArcLight Foundation, Inc. We are an IRS approved 501c3 non-profit organization in the USA, currently based in the State of NJ with reach into many States. Our core mission is to help the victims and families of Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence. Our mission statement has 5 core themes, but can be covered by the following short version, "Defending the defenseless and helping those in need". We plan to open and operate ten high capacity (1,000 plus bed), and 25 other 250 to 500 bed specialty treatment centers within the next 10 to 15 years specifically designed to treat victims of human trafficking and domestic violence. We will also engage in other activities that undermine the very heart of this issue.
Our centers will be unlike anything seen to date and will be entirely victim and family focused. Our treatment facility will follow a modular two year step down model that will offer treatment, recovery, life skills, education, and a holistic approach that will offer everything needed for victims and families (where appropriate) to heal and move forward in a positive direction with their lives. Our facility will offer various hobbies and distractions such as all the arts, hiking and camping under security and supervision, equine therapy, as well as vocational training and appropriate schooling to bring the victim up to and surpass where they should be. At the end of the program a victim, in the right age group, could walk away with a 2 years associates degree, or a bachelors degree, vocational trade, job placement assistance, a vehicle, a protection K9 if they so choose for protection and for companionship, and 6 months of more of remote assistance to ensure the victims are doing well. We will be working with the US Marshall Service to obtain new identities where appropriate as well.
The 2 year model is not rock solid, and is flexible. This program can be longer if need be, or much shorter if necessary. In many cases we have seen victims that have been trafficked for 10 years or more. They would most likely need the 2 year or more model to get back on track and reduce the chances of recidivism. Then there are the cases of short duration trauma that may not need the entire 2 year program. Our staff will design an individualized treatment program, with the consent of the victim, and family (where appropriate) and following the guidelines of the State or Federal organizations involved. Our facility will also have a 24 hour licensed day care on site, for those victims that come with small children. The 24 hour day care is important so that the victim, can at any moment, get a break from parenthood, if they need it, so they can focus on healing themselves. The facility will have a gym, indoor year round pool, auditorium for guest speakers etc, and separate housing facilities for the males and females. After initial classification and depending upon age, and we are sure that a victim is not a danger to themselves or others, they will have the earned privilege of their own private suite, like a hotel room. In the last 3 to 6 months of the program (if age appropriate) they will be moved into single or double separate living spaces behind the treatment center, where they will have to demonstrate the ability to live on their own, control their own finances, cook , clean, and take car of themselves, etc., before they jump out in the real world. We are in the middle of site selection now, but it will be located on a working farm, (equine therapy, etc).
This will be a true place of healing and recovery, and will resemble a 5 star hotel, and college campus more than anything. We will be providing access to whatever faith based services a victim believes in, as well as other coping methodologies such as meditation and yoga. Our large capacity step down housing will be used to house short term victims of domestic violence, until State or Federal resources can be activated. However, our facility will be open 24 hrs 7 days a week, and can accommodate a little or no notice drop off of a human trafficking victim or domestic violence victim with family if required. The facility will have the best in security features and all people housed there will have the best possible protection, the best instruction, and the best clinical treatment staff available. Bottom line...we will accept nothing less than the best for these victims.
We are an officially recognized 501c3 non-profit by the IRS and are currently seeking Corporate Sponsorship. If you believe you, your foundation, or your company would like to support such a worthy cause, please keep us in mind. In exchange for corporate sponsorships, you will receive your company logo on our website as a sponsor at the level of your donation, this will also have a link to your public release about why you support the cause, and an active link to your company website. We are different and will be doing so much more than I can say in this article. There are also specialty recognition available for sponsors who wish to help build or maintain these facilities.
There is no other crime more horrific than Human Trafficking. Second only now to the illegal drug trade as far as illicit money making. This is so destructive, and eats at the morality of society. The money, services provided by the traffickers, or threats against people or their families has also lead to a system of corruption. There are victims of sexual abuse as young as one, films that are made that I shouldn't even speak of, and to make matters worse, complete organ harvesting has reached an all time high. This is serious business and the work of truly evil men and women that must be stopped. We have the talent, and know others who have the talent as well, to help put an end to this. We just need funding. Please consider sponsoring an anti or counter human trafficking organization, if not ours, then somewhere else. Our reach is the USA and its territories, as we develop relationships with the United Nations, individual Nations, and Interpol, we plan to provide our services Globally in support of other NGO's or other Nation's Law Enforcement Organizations. We are honored to join the many who have been fighting this fight for so long, and hope we can make alliances and cooperate as well or better than the traffickers in order to cause massive disruption, making it easier for Law Enforcement to take them out.
Another post will follow with an update listing more specifically what we need in terms of human capital, financial support, logistic support, and our long term strategic plan to ensure this project continues to be successful for a very long time. We will need specialists who can help with complex PTSD, as well as early childhood sexual trauma, and the multitude of potential problems that creates. We have to be able to accept and treat any age group. We will need the best people in various and varied disciplines, but overall, we need people with the most compassionate and giving of hearts. More to follow.

6 年Bless you for what you do! I am willing to help in any way possible.
Go above and beyond in being Human!
7 年Human trafficking is a terrible, well-planned business. I wish this would never happen and I do have high hopes for these groupings to be found and dissolved! As for domestic and sexual... Even an inappropriate language is considered a "light" form of harassment... If only people would understand this, the abusers would be dried of the power they don't know how else to manage. I hope this will come to an end as people become more and more aware of their own worth and use their shine to the benefit of others! I am delighted to acknowledge the existence of such a NGO alike the one you put the foundation of! Good luck and may the Almighty bring quality people to your door, in the means of personnel! Respectfully, Andrada
