World Water Day, observed annually on March 22nd, serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of freshwater and the need for sustainable management of this precious resource. Pearl Global's Aqualess Mission highlights the company's commitment to water stewardship and environmental conservation.?

Our new technology aims to reduce water consumption by an impressive 85% in the denim laundry process. Traditionally, steps like desizing, stone washing, and worn bleaching require copious amounts of water. However, Pearl Global's Aqualess Aging Treatment, water free acid & enzyme wash and Drybag Softener processes operate entirely without water, revolutionizing denim production.?

Key features of the Aqualess Mission?

Water Stewardship: Pearl Global aims to significantly decrease groundwater withdrawal by 30% and increase recycling by 50% by the end of year 2024. Rainwater harvesting initiatives are also underway, with plans to implement them across all units by 2026.?

Wastewater Management: The company employs advanced wastewater treatment, and monitoring systems, including in-house testing labs, third-party assessments, and regular evaluations by environmental authorities. This ensures compliance with stringent standards including ZDHC (zero discharge of hazardous chemical)? and fosters continuous improvement in water quality.?

Wastewater Reduction: Pearl Global has invested in cutting-edge technologies such as laser processing and virtual product creation to minimize water usage and material wastage. Additionally, innovative solutions like the? Jeanologia LASER, water free enzyme, liquid peroxide with bleaching, Eflow machine, water free acid wash, using Ozone machine, Electricity less condensate recovery, Tonello equipment etc. further enhance productivity while reducing environmental impact.?

RO Water Recycling Units: The installation of advanced RO water recycling units is in progress, and with this Pearl Global is going to increase water recycling capacity significantly from 2024, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and minimizing freshwater consumption.?

Expansion of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP): Anticipating increased wastewater discharge due to business expansion & to meet more stringent requirement of ZDHC, we are also upgrading ETP capacity to accommodate future needs responsibly. By the end of 2024, ETP's capacity will be 120 KLH from 40 KLH, underscoring the company's commitment to environmental sustainability.?
