America Saves May 2023 Partner Update
May is off to a great start over here at America Saves! Last week, our small yet savvy team of seven gathered for our annual staff retreat and 2024 internal planning session. We have lots of exciting things to share with you, our Partners, this month!?In this Partner Update, you’ll:?
CREATING A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MONEY?
This month we’re focusing on “The emotional side of saving” across our marketing channels. Money and finances can trigger a range of emotions, from shame, judgment, and anxiety to contentment, joy, satisfaction, and?confidence.?
At America Saves, we’re committed to helping?our Savers shift their mindset and behaviors, and part of that work means acknowledging the emotional side of saving. Our emotions, lived experiences, and past all play a part in how we respond to certain scenarios.?
Many people will describe themselves as “good” or “bad” in how they handle money, ignoring the more complex factors and emotions associated with our money.?
HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE:?Incorporate the above blog into your marketing and communications plan this month, OR watch the America Saves?Facebook,?LinkedIn, and?Twitter?accounts to share our posts. Don’t just stop at social media! Include these in your email, text messages, and however else you interact with those you serve.

America Saves Week is moving to April! Aligned with National Financial Capability/Literacy Month,?America Saves Week 2024?will be held from April 8 – April 12. The theme is “Saving for What Matters Most.”?
The digital toolkit will be released in mid-January?2024, so keep your eyes peeled for it in the new year!?
We look forward to the continued uptake, growth, and recognition?of America Saves Week. Our team is committed to bringing a refreshed experience for our participating organizations, starting with better-than-ever #ASW resources in 2024, thanks to your feedback in the #ASW2023 Reporting Survey.?
America Saves Week 2024 will be immediately followed by?Military Saves Week 2024, taking place April 15 – April 19, making it incredibly easy to reach the active duty, retired, and veteran populations with a unique message that speaks directly to their lifestyle and experiences.?
