New Program:?Decoupling 2030 – Denmark Leads the way to Sustainable Production

We're so excited to finally launch a big mission baby we've worked on for the past year:?Decoupling 2030?– or Afkobling 2030 in Danish.

The program's goal is that 4,250 Danish production companies must actively work on their sustainable transition by 2030, and 650 must have taken significant steps toward absolute decoupling.

We tested the setup in a pilot project in 2022, and the program is now significantly expanded to an eight-year effort, of which the Danish Industry Foundation has allocated DKK 32 million for the first two years.

We are part of the ambitious and courageous partner group along?Alexandra Instituttet,?FORCE Technology,?Teknologisk Institut,?Trekantomr?det, and?DANDY Business Park. The Danish Industry Foundation (Industriens Fond)?has co-developed and supports the program.

Article:?Stretching our Empathy to Future Generations

Imagine a world where the right to vote is granted from birth, and every decision always has future generations in mind. Can we do away with the short-termism of our society?

In this article,?Anders Folmer Buhlet, Academy Director at the?Social Innovation Academy, and?Sara Gry Striegler, Director of Social Transition here at DDC, explore what it would take for our government and society to adopt what? The Long Time Project?calls ‘long-timism’ – a genuine concern for the world beyond our lifetimes – and ‘long-termism’ – extensive planning for future benefits and goals.?

That requires skills we do not prioritize and cultivate in today's society but hold enormous potential to solve the world's poly-crisis.?Read the full article here.

The Salary Experiment:?Breaking Free From Traditional Models

At DDC, we're committed to finding a salary model that aligns with our self-leading organizational structure. Fortunately, we aren't alone in this endeavor. The Danish in-depth news media?Zetland?is also looking for a more fair?salary model and has published a series of articles about it. And guess what? We're one of the featured organizations!

In this four-part series, journalist Fie?Dandanell?explores our transition and visits four other Danish companies that have successfully implemented new salary models. And to make sure you don't miss it, we're providing a short summary and access to all four episodes.

You can find it right here.
