Algeco Offsite lands ￡33m MOJ order
Algeco Offsite is set to play a key role in a new Government programme to increase capacity in prisons, by building temporary cells which can be rolled out at speed.
?
We were awarded two contracts totalling nearly ￡34m to build the first generation of Rapid Deployment Cells. These form part of a wider programme to install 1000 cells at 18 prison sites. The majority will be delivered by the end of this year.
?
James Withey, Managing Director at Algeco Offsite, said: “Utilising DFMA and Lean Manufacturing, along with our platform-based approach, we will deliver high quality units across these multiple locations.”
?
“The temporary accommodation which we have already supplied to the Ministry of Justice was to a very high standard, which we will of course continue with these longer-term offsite structures.”
