Who should enrol in the #RPL Digital Badge?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process by which prior learning is formally valued. It is a means by which prior learning is identified, assessed, and recognised by an educational institution as part of its programmes, courses, and/or modules on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).? This makes it possible for an individual to build on learning achieved and to be rewarded for it.
The RPL Digital Badge helps staff in the tertiary sector learn about RPL and how it applies to their own work, both at their institution and within the broader education sector. The 6-week course is available to all staff currently working in tertiary education in the Republic of Ireland. Participants from other sectors and those with an interest in RPL are also welcome.
Additional facilitator training is included so that you can become a facilitator of this course and run it in your own institution.

“This course was excellent in content and most enjoyable. It was well thought out and well delivered. Still lots more to explore with regard to the concept. It has created a great resource of contacts and networking opportunities. Would definitely recommend others to do this”.
