The April Edition

The April Edition

British Summer Time?kicked in on the last Sunday of March yet we’ve had the wettest 18 months on record and there’s no sign of the rain abating yet (us Brits do love a good conversation about the weather you know…). Anyway, welcome to Spring and welcome to this month’s edition where we’ll be talking about multi-faceted easter eggs, a trip to Texas to talk about carbon sequestration, and a Sheffield high rise block of flats. Here’s to drier times as we hurtle towards Summer.

The Joy of Food

At the beginning of this year?we published our thoughts on the macro Food Drivers that we believe will shape innovation in the sector over the next few years.?One of these was the ‘Joy of Food’ – products that celebrate the pleasure of their consumption, or that offer a multi-sensory experience in their eating. Since then we’ve noticed several recent examples of new introductions that do just that – from the vibrant, joyous packaging of a range of beers from Vocation Brewery, to the Mixologist Assortment of cocktail flavoured chocolates at M&S, and the most striking of the new Easter products for 2024, the Toblerone Edgy Egg.?Read the full Food Drivers 2024 article by clicking on the image.

Serious Play

Can you think with your hands? Could you build your vision of a future strategy…out of Lego??That's exactly how Lego Serious Play prompts your brain to work and we've been having fun testing it out in our latest branding workshops. It's a valuable tool that helps groups to think and communicate in a different way to what they're used to. So, if you want to unleash some creative thinking within your organisation, and start some valuable, insightful and honest discussions between your team, then get in touch.?

On Tour to Texas

TBN are currently working on an exciting project in the US Gulf Coast region?which is home to the nation’s primary offshore source of oil and gas, generating about 97% of all US OCS oil and gas production. However, we’re not getting our hands dirty with the oil and gas industry, we are working with one of the US’s leading carbon storage businesses. Within this vast region, CO2 will be captured at source and then stored safely and permanently underground – and we are talking millions of tons of the stuff, a real solution to a very real problem. We had a few lovely days visiting our Texas based client, running some incredibly interesting workshops, all in the hope that we can play a part in finding a solution to the emission of CO2 gases into the environment. More to follow on this story.

Standing at the Sky’s Edge

TBN creative, Geoff Crumack,?recently went to see the much acclaimed British musical 'Standing at the Sky’s Edge' at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London's West End. Originally written as a love letter to Sheffield, it features the music of Richard Hawley. Read what Geoff had to say about it…
