A consolidation year: our Group’s financial results

This month, our Group shared its 2023 financial results. Despite a challenging year, we achieved a revenue increase of 13%, reaching a record-breaking €3.1 billion. This growth occurred amidst a notable rise in raw material costs. Through it, we made a conscious decision to minimize the impact on consumer prices, absorbing some of the increased costs to maintain our competitive edge.

A highlight of the year was the strategic acquisition of the French company, MaxiCoffee. This operation has proven to be key in our internationalization strategy. And to confirm it, e-commerce was the channel that showed the most significant growth, with a 28% increase compared to the previous year, strengthening our presence in the B2C/consumer market.

Highlights from Peru: the Lavazza Foundation and the preservation of the Amazon

On the sandy shores of Lima, and in the Peruvian Amazon of Madre de Dios, the Lavazza Foundation partnered with Cesvi to sow seeds of change. Started in 2022, "Guardians of the Forest" is an environmental project dedicated to the conservation and sustainable management of Amazonian walnut forests as well as the strengthening of native communities impoverished by the pandemic.

Walnut trees have ancient roots, with some specimens dating up to 1,000 years. Among the tallest in the Amazon Forest, a single tree can reach up to 60 meters and capture an average of 33 kg of CO2 in a year, equivalent to 190 km traveled by car.

The video was created to spark conversation and raise awareness about an issue that is close to each and every one of us on planet Earth. Every day should be Earth Day, and it's time we all play our part.
