April is Autism Acceptance Month
Take Advantage of Our Resources for Parents, Teachers, and Coaches
Help us acknowledge and celebrate the active children with autism in your life. Too often, children on the spectrum and others with disabilities are left wandering and wondering when it comes to physical activity and physical education. April is your chance to help bring awareness and acceptance to this community. Exercise Connection offers two principal ways for you to participate:
For teachers, therapists, and coaches
In partnership with the American College of Sports Medicine, Exercise Connection?offers CECs leading to a certificate?that will educate and empower professionals to successfully teach inclusive exercise to those with autism and other disabilities.
For parents
We offer the?Exercise Buddy?app, brought to you by Coach Dave of the Autism Channel and the author of?The Autism Fitness Handbook. The Exercise Buddy app allows your little athlete to learn and exercise in a way that is unique to them.
