APRIL ACTIVITIES

WELCOME!

Hi Everyone, I say it every month, but where is the time going?? Events that I had booked out 6-10 months ago are coming around already, and I had all these plans to do lots of stuff in my "downtime" while not travelling, but I guess business life gets in the way!

But never mind that, today is my BIRTHDAY!!

Who would have known this chubby little girl would grow into a chubby big girl and live the most amazing life beyond her expectations? And there's so much more to come!

EXCITING UPDATES!!

There's not one, but TWO exciting updates to share with you. Firstly, an army of keyring Susan's have arrived!

I've been working with Rochella Fletcher at Custom Toys UK to create something truly unique and special to give away as The Classification Guru Ltd swag. And they have nailed it!

Here they all are in their glory, look for them coming to an event near you very soon! If you need anything promo-relatedtwo-hour I can't recommend using Custom Toys enough, super professional and great quality products.

My wee Susan has also been on her adventures in the meantime, where will she end up next??

WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON?

I had the pleasure of running a virtual two hour workshop for The Analytics Institute this month, there was lots of great engagement from the audience and everyone can relate to dirty data issues!

Last week I then flew to Stockholm for CFO Outlook, hosted by EBG | Network to present a Keynote on Between the Spreadsheets: What does it take to master data in the digital transformation age? and also host two roundtable discussions. It was great to meet Anna Bj?rkerud and Lars Bj?rkerud , the Swedish power couple!

It turns out no matter what business function or country you work in, we all have a common theme.... data quality issues! There were some great discussions on the day and I think we can all agree there's no "one size fits all" approach when it comes to tackling it.

It was also great to finally meet Shazia Hussenbux in person, the power of LinkedIn never fails, and after years of online networking, we finally met and it was like we had been friends for years.

I'm looking forward to meeting with more LinkedIn friends on my US travels, if you're in Chicago, Boston, Charlotte or Vegas, why not let me know and we can meet for coffee?

IN PERSON EVENTS

On Friday this week, I'm flying out to Chicago in preparation for delivering the opening keynote on Monday 6th at this year's Auto Care Association 's Autocare Connect. I'll also be joining forces with Sam Russo, MSIT, ACP, AAP ????? for a session "Top Taxonomy Tips from The Classification Guru and Your Data Crew Chief" - it's going to be EPIC!!

I can't wait to catch up with Joe Thomas, ACP, MAAP the orchestrator of all this fabulous chaos! It's not too late, check out the event here .

I'll be doing a bit of travelling to Boston and Charlotte, then it's time to head over to Las Vegas for the one and only Alteryx Inspire. I'm looking forward to joining Kate Strachnyi , Ravit Jain , Kirk Borne, Ph.D. Dustin Schimek Brandi Beals and Steve Nouri.

And Keyring Susan will be there too, I mean, what could possibly happen to me this time???

Jokes aside, this really is going to be a great event, with lots of great learning opportunities.

Sadly I'm going to miss the Accounts Payable Association 's AP Leadership & Influence Forum event in May, I've been fortunate enough to be a Key Influencer, representing and highlighting the profession's great work.

They'll be announcing the 2024 Key Influencers at the event - will I make the list? Watch this space...
