Delivering packaging that protects for 75 years…
In April, we celebrated our 75th anniversary!
Established by the late Lord Macfarlane of Bearsden in 1949, Macfarlane Packaging had humble beginnings as a packaging and stationary supply company in Glasgow.
In the years that have followed, we’ve hit many milestones along the way: being floated on the London Stock Exchange in the 1970s; gaining ISO qualifications in the 80s; launching online trading in the early 2000s; and more recently launching our presence in Europe and diversifying our business with acquisitions in both packaging distribution and manufacturing. ?
Throughout the journey, we’ve remained dedicated to delivering high-quality packaging solutions and solutions that protect our customers’ products, brands and businesses, while limiting impact on the environment.
Our colleagues across the UK, Ireland and Continental Europe got together to mark our 75th year of trading. They participated in games and fundraising at local sites, and enjoyed some tasty food, including Macfarlane-branded treats!
Speaking on the event, Peter Atkinson, Peter Atkinson, Chief Executive of Macfarlane Group said: “We are excited to reach this significant anniversary in the company’s history and we wanted to celebrate this date with our valued colleagues. We would also like to thank our thousands of customers and suppliers for the trust they place in us and for their continued support. The commitment and diligence of our people around the business has been critical to our success as we help our customers to find the best products and services for their businesses. We are looking forward to continued success in the future.”
