What is the latest with the EU AI Act?
EU AI Act – Coming into force in 2024. ?The European Commission voted on the new regulatory framework on Wednesday 26th April 2023, with the aim of ensuring the proper functioning of the single market by creating conditions for the development and use of trustworthy AI in the Union.?
If you have any interaction with AI systems, such as use, marketing, or development, including those categorised as high-risk, you may be within scope.?Contact us to receive more information on this matter.
What do we do?
AI & Partners provides comprehensive solutions in the area of regulatory impact assessment, providing regulatory expertise as well as analytical, econometric and macroeconomic modelling skills.?Our regulatory impact assessment may include, among others, the following elements:
Identification
Basing on own experience and deep understanding of the theory of regulation, AI & Partners identifies main areas of impact on businesses.
Estimation
Having understood the nature of the EU AI Act, AI & Partners assesses qualitatively or quantitatively the impact of that change.?We use analytical techniques to perform analyses under different policies.
Development
AI & Partners examines the EU AI Act and identifies viable solutions for businesses.
Communication
AI & Partners may initiate a dialogue between the Client and regulators, during which the results of the analysis and our approach are communicated.?Such cooperation supports all stakeholders in better understanding of the consequences of the EU AI Act.
What AI & Partners can do for you
AI & Partners can estimate the impacts of the EU AI Act in various areas, such as: human resources, sales, ICT management, marketing, logistics, customer services, procurement, maintenance, accounting, quality control, production, planning, research & development, and compliance etc.
What are the outcomes?
In consideration of all of the characteristics of the EU AI Act and the Client’s needs, AI & Partners can conduct a qualitative or quantitative assessment of the regulation’s impact on:
·??????Use - e.g. what will be the impact on business-as-usual activities?
·??????Marketing - e.g. what is the suggested method of conducting promotional advertisements?
·??????Software development - e.g. what is the impact on the development of new pieces of software?
·??????Distribution - e.g. what conditions apply for distribution of products?
·??????Other business variables -?e.g. licensing, audit.
In our approach to regulatory impact assessment we emphasize the transparency principle: in our analyses we present not only results of the analysis, but also our approach (method of measurement, key assumptions, etc.).?
We are also ready to engage in an open and in-depth discussion with stakeholders, including the regulator, about various aspects of our analyses.
