Apple AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Aid Features
The Apple AirPods are the most successful consumer earbuds in history, with over 82 million sales in 2022 alone!
That means that AirPods are in more ears than any other ear level product, period.
With that in mind, and with Apple’s hearing enhancement features including the ability to tune them to your audiogram, we had to test the latest AirPods Pro 2 out to see how they perform as hearing aids (even though they aren’t marketed as such).

A Legitimate Solution for Tinnitus Sufferers?
Chronic and bothersome tinnitus is a common condition that can cause emotional distress, frustration, difficulty sleeping, and other psychological and emotional impacts.
Traditional tinnitus treatment solutions have been limited to treating the hearing loss with hearing aids, sound therapy, mindfulness, and specialized talk therapy.
While these solutions are helpful for many patients, the results vary widely and there is no “silver bullet”.
This new FDA-cleared product promises to re-wire the circuitry in the brain that causes tinnitus, and research has shown significant improvements for a large percentage of users.
