Hello ISACA Detroit Members!

Welcome to April where spring is definitely in the air!!? I hope everyone enjoyed this great weather we’ve been having this past week in Michigan.? Its been great weather to get outside and maybe start preparing your flower or vegetable gardens.? Or maybe you’ve had the opportunity to move your exercise routine from indoors to out and took advantage of an outdoor jog or got to enjoy your favorite local icecream place that has reopened for the season! ? For me, its been fun getting back to watching my kids play outdoor sports again!? However you chose to enjoy the springtime weather, I hope you can join us for this month’s hybrid meeting as we hear from our speakers from Grant Thornton and Recorded Future.

?APRIL ISACA CHAPTER HYBRID MEETING?

I’m very excited to share some information about the great speakers we have lined up for our April hybrid meeting. We will be joined by Chris Saracco - Managing Director, Advisory Services, and Angelo Toppi - Manager, IT Risk Advisory from Grant Thornton. Chris and Angelo will discuss how Internal Audit can play a critical role in this changing environment by providing an objective and risk-based perspective to manage risks associated with third-party and the key elements of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program governance and operating model that are essential to business.? Key topics will include:?

• Top drivers impacting the TPRM program - from people, process and technology perspective
• Discuss and evaluate the TPRM Program Governance and Operating Model (Hub-spoke, De-Centralized, Federated)
• Third party program lifecycle - due diligence, sourcing/contracting, on-going risk assessment, and vendor termination/offboarding

Our second set of speakers are from Recorded Future - Kathleen Kuczma - Senior Solutions Consultant and Mark Robson, Enterprise Account Manager.? Kathleen and Mark will discuss how many security teams understand the need to incorporate intelligence into their cyber security programs to reduce company risk. But where do you start? And how can security teams relay what may be seen as abstract intelligence to business leaders in a language they will understand? This presentation will review the top takeaways from Recorded Future's "Intelligence Handbook", using recent industry examples to highlight the importance of an intelligence-led security program.?
