Thanks to our Sponsors!

A big thanks to?Datacom?and Consegna.Cloud as our official sponsors!

Of course we are looking for further sponsorship, as this is the funding that keeps the wheels turning (meetup venue hire, drinks, pizza, online subscriptions (Confluence, Meetup.com, etc), website hosting costs, etc). If your business is happy to help sponsor the AWS community, please reach out to Paul Dunlop ([email protected]) or Scott Patterson ([email protected]) to receive the sponsorship prospectus.

Auckland

We’re excited to announce that the Auckland AWS User Group has formally joined us as our Auckland chapter.

Call for Speakers for May and Beyond

If you’d like to speak get in contact with us (details below). We’re very flexible about what you want to speak about, as long as it’s AWS focussed! It can be beginner or advanced, it can cover any topic, so data, security, networking, machine development, serverless or anything else in AWS that can be built and run. Talks can be from 5 minutes to 30 minutes long. So if you only want to do a 5 minute lightning talk, then please reach out.

Channels to Engage the AWS Community Leaders

Until we announce our event schedule, there are still various ways you can engage with the AWS community in NZ:

We Need You - To Help Us Run Better

We would love to hear from you, with suggestions as to how we can improve. Your feedback will help, both the good and the bad, plus ideas about events we can run. Some ideas we have are:

  • Presentation style workshops. Do you like these? Are there specific topics you want to hear about? Do you want beginner, intermediate or advanced level talks?
  • Official AWS game days?
  • Our own lab sessions?
  • Q&A sessions?

Maybe you have something else you think would work? Please let us know.

Other Committee Updates

  1. We are progressing getting our website re-branding completed, this will include a full Te Reo translation of our website.

Regards,

Chris and Seb and the rest of the AWS User Group Aotearoa Committee
