APRIL 2020 ANIMATIONS

APRIL 2020 ANIMATIONS

From the photo-real, to the illusory nature of imagination, this was probably the best experience I have had in terms of daily work and application. I challenged myself by doing not just a daily render of a single frame, but an ANIMATION (my poor MacBook is crying). Here are my main takeaways in hopes to help:

What I l truly learned through this experience are two things: I learned to be effective with my time and energy (even with full-time 9-5 + outside projects), and learned to exercise the human gift of creative imagination.

I viewed my work from a lens of "how can I be better in XYZ-area", and developed a paradigm of humility while seeking that expertise in the subject matter. I would watch tutorials over and over just to see a flow, to apply it to my own workflow. The connections and insights were nothing short from empowering.

While it wasn't 100% daily (nor was my entire day-to-day focus), what I acquired was mindfulness, perspective, a path of mastery of the principles in what the 3D/CGI/VFX skillset entail, and an min-put, max-put work ethic that I have always seeked in my art.

???

This month of May 2020 has given me new projects that I have in mind and EXCITED about, that even 90 days back, I would have thought would be insurmountable.

Don't be afraid to experiment! I'd rather have a day where I at least open the software (with the intention to make something), delete the default cube, then close it out, than not even make the attempt.

Here's to life!
