The APRIA 27th Annual Conference at Kansai University in Osaka, Japan

Let's reflect on the remarkable 27th Annual Conference hosted by the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA) at Kansai University in Osaka, Japan, from July 30th to August 2nd, 2023. Singapore College of Insurance is the permanent secretariat of APRIA.

The conference centred around the theme "Resilience and Sustainability in the Risk Society." This was a significant event for professionals in the Asia-Pacific risk and insurance sector.?

More than 150 participants from 16 countries came together, marking the first in-person gathering since the 2019 Seoul conference.

The conference presented a valuable opportunity for academics and industry professionals in the risk and insurance sector to connect with peers from around the world. It served as a platform for the exchange of ideas, enabling participants to stay informed about cutting-edge trends within the field.

What Was Discussed??

During his keynote address, finance expert Mr Teruhisa KURITA delved into the intricacies of "Challenges on Insurance Supervision."?

Additionally, the discussions encompassed a range of topics, including enhancing insurance practices, addressing the challenges of ageing societies, leveraging innovative technology for insurance solutions, and strengthening protections against natural disasters.

With 25 esteemed professors moderating the presentation sessions, the event truly encapsulated the spirit of knowledge-sharing and exploration.

Coming Together and Looking Forward?

The forthcoming APRIA conference is slated to be held in Vientiane, Laos from July 28th to 31st 2024. We eagerly anticipate the next chapter in this exhilarating journey of knowledge, networking, and industry advancement.
