Appsmith Workflows, Performance Improvements, JavaScript, AI-Powered Charts, and More!
Hello Appsmiths,
A new event is coming up on September 26th! Join us for a panel discussion about why more businesses are shifting from public cloud SaaS applications to custom-built tools hosted in their own cloud or infrastructure. This webinar will feature new insights from over 150 developers, covering the benefits and challenges of self-hosting, best practices, and real-world experiences from IT and development teams.
Also, have you seen the first episode of The Agency? Check out how Appsmith Workflows were used to efficiently solve a last-minute ticket request from a client. And share with us what you thought of their approach.
Happy building!?

Performance and stability improvements
At Appsmith, enhancing performance and stability are top priorities. Recently, we focused on improving the First Page Load (FPL) time and overall platform stability. Key efforts included optimizing the consolidated view API, which provides crucial user and tenant information before the UI loads. By reducing redundant database calls and using Redis for faster data access, we achieved a 67% improvement in response time, dropping from 150ms to 48ms. Additionally, the edit API performance improved by 70%.
These performance gains also enhanced stability. By maintaining healthy Kubernetes pods and reducing pod restarts, we saw a 45% performance boost in our API endpoints. These efforts ensure a faster and more reliable user experience.
