Approach "problems" like a chessboard

This post, I put it after a talk with a psychologist friend in 2008, who told me that she was studying NLP, and I remembered this theme that could be related for more contribution, I hope this article will serve you for everyday life.
Everyone in some part of our life feels stress, and we see things come to us simply because of one or more problems that we have in mind.
The mind constantly worries and is occupied, but unfortunately due to worries such as money problems, finishing things on time, conflicts with the boss, and problems with the partner, these problems hold us back for a good part of our days.
Chessboard?
The perspective concerning the problems with a chessboard is this: The chess pieces, whatever they are (pawn, rook, knight, finally) some are problems, and others are solutions, the solution for each problem short not is lineal and each piece is a resource we can use (can be still we favor or battle).
Most people, when they have a problem in mind, obsess over this piece of the problem all day, weeks, or months, whatever. They do not get out of the problem they are still trapped for a battle lost.
What teaches us this perspective chess?, thinking about all the chess pieces (problems and solutions), looking for possibilities in all the pieces we have like challenges or little resources, and thus go battling the final objective (divide the problem into small parts, and solve step by step). Focusing positively on the solution.
Nothing is easy I know, but when I see it this way, whenever I am worried or with a problem, I think "I am the chessboard !!", and this is how I program my mind, to stop worrying and focus on solutions.
I hope my contribution will help you.

4 年I believe that is also very important to know how to think outside the box, yes the chess board has endlesss possibilities but in some particular situations we are just stucked by the problems and moving pieces back and forth appears to be dont delivering the desired results, I would like to think that universe laws cannot be broken but human ones does and back in chess board we can repeat the move, make some moves at the same time, hide a piece even cheat to win the game

4 年You′re right Constantino. We use to get stuck in some situations and don't consider broadening our perspectives. Problems and solutions are more related than we think.
