Appreciative Inquiry

Why always dwell on the problems when our team strength can take us places.......The pity is we always overlook what we have and whine about what is not there ....when the fact is nobody has everything......

  • The 4D model of appreciative inquiry helps us to focus on the collective positive power of a team (#Discover)....this can be done by sharing our personal success stories displaying grit and fortitude and the tears and tides we have overcome in the past
  • and this revelation can help us envision the future echoing the vision statements that capture the collective aspirations of the team (#Dream).
  • Next we can map our journey and discuss the roadblocks and what can be done to overcome them and where we can leverage each individual's skills to complement one another.....creating strategies should be done in a collaborative environment where each can take ownership of and accountability of their ideas (#Design)....surprisingly practicing inclusivity all the way....
  • and finally we set to #Deliver what initially appeared as a daunting task.....empower every team member and appreciate anyone who displays creativity and initiative in the execution level

The #key is to understand our #robustness and to remove any strain of #self-doubt and #self-pity. Integrate #AppreciativeInquiry into the #OrganizationCulture to watch the magic unfold.......

Your focus on the 4D model of Appreciative Inquiry is a powerful reminder to shift from problem-based thinking to leveraging team strengths. By discovering past successes (#Discover), envisioning a shared future (#Dream), collaboratively designing solutions (#Design), and empowering every member to deliver results (#Deliver), teams can overcome challenges and thrive through collective effort and inclusivity. This approach fosters ownership, creativity, and a shared sense of accomplishment.

Great thoughts Jasmine Joslet. Appreciative Inquiry is also helpful to diagnosing the organization and understanding if org needs the change or not. 4D talks about- 1. Discover - a phase where we try to discover the current state of every aspect of business, which include technology, competition, finances, people strengths, operations, efficiency, productivity of business. 2. Dream - where we define in each area of business, what exactly we dream and what shall be the goal. 3. Design- in this phase, designing the action plan to achieve the dream. 4. Deliver- executing the designed plan and delivering the outcome. So, along with setting up the right culture, this 4D model of appreciative inquiry help to plan and implement the change.
