An Appreciation of Teachers

Teachers play a key role in shaping our lives; from the day we are born to the time when we meet our maker. They not only impart knowledge but also motivate, inspire and instill a sense of purpose in us. A teacher facilitates learning journeys by providing opportunities for our self-discoveries.?

In life’s journey - past, present, and future, we encounter teachers in various forms –? he or she is a teacher, lecturer, trainer, mentor, coach, leader, counselor, father, mother and let’s not forget children for they are our greatest teachers – they remind us adults who are too caught up with the world and many of us often do; to be hopeful and 'Impossible' actually means I’m Possible!

As a society, we should appreciate them more than we do now, for their work is far from easy. The journey of teaching is one of the most rewarding and demanding professions in the world. It is a profession that requires dedication, passion, and sacrifice. They have to take care of so many students at the same time and spend hours on making lesson plans, while also answering all the queries and often when after class has ended.

Therefore on this Teachers’ Day, I want to show my appreciation by saying “Thank You for Making A Difference!” to all the teachers I have met, will be meeting, and also those whom I do not have the opportunity to meet, in person that is. =)
