An Appreciated Review

New Zealand Safaris provided Mike and I with a hunt of a lifetime. Mike and I met Jim at the SCI convention 2 years before heading to New Zealand. The second year Jim had us hooked with the trip with remembering our previous conversations as well as saying "it's not if you're coming, but when". Jim Gibson runs a top of the class guide service. Mike and I hunted with Jim and Bernard for a week on an all free range hunt and each took a Red Stag, Bull Tahr, and Fallow Deer off of private land. The land that we hunted was amazing and the daily conversations with the landowners about our hunts were great. The New Zealand Safaris team and the land owners were as happy for the hunting stories as we were to live them. We were able to see some of the best scenery in New Zealand as well as amazing animals along the way. We were stuck in the mountains due to weather for 2 1/2 days in one of his Private cabins, but Jim was ready and the adventure was well worth the trip. New Zealand Safaris is not about going out and killing animals, but about having the hunt of the lifetime and harvesting the best animal for each individual. We had multiple opportunities at animals while hunting, some were within range, but not the right animals, and others just weren't right for our hunt. Jim's wife Rhonda also made us feel like home with amazing meals made daily at their lodge.

I would without question hunt with Jim & Bernard again. Jim provides you a hunt based on each hunter's ability and knows where to take each hunter based on that ability.
