Appraisals 101!

Do you struggle when it comes to appraisal time?
Can you never think of all the good stuff you've done throughout the year?
Well, I've been using a method for years and always pass this on to all the team members I work with and it's become their daily habit too..... it's so simple you'll wonder why you didn't do it years ago.
I have a folder in my outlook entitled 'GOB' which stands for 'Glimpses of Brilliance'. Whenever I receive an email from a happy client or a colleague, or in fact from anywhere, it immediately goes into the GOB file.
If it's verbal praise, then I email it to myself and straight into the GOB file. When I've worked on something successful or proposed an idea, I email myself and it goes into the file also.
When it comes to appraisal time, I go to the GOB file and use all the evidence there to write my appraisal - I'm never stressed about appraisals and they never take me long to write because all of the evidence I ever need is right there.
Try it and I bet you'll never look back :)
