Applying to everything
2 weeks ago we mentioned we'd cover some different aspects of the job search process.
This is part 1.
Almost all of us fall into this process:
Lose job or want new job = start applying to new jobs.
I sold job postings.
I posted a lot of jobs for 3 years.
After writing our newsletter 2 weeks ago I happened to interview a Senior HR Leader for a very well known company that routinely gets over 100 applicants per posting.
Their talent acquisition team has been downsized and they were stretched before that.
When this became the policy I don't know but their policy is review the first 5 applicants and move on.
So what are your options here?
How can you turbocharge the application process?
Any other suggestions?

3 个月Hello John! I am not quite understanding how searching for “reporting” will benefit me as a job seeker/potential applicant - woukd you please explain your tip #4 in greater detail? I appreciate all of your content but I especially appreciate your job hunt related posts and would like to fully understand #4 because 1) after being on the market as long as I have been, I’ll take any tip I can and give it a whirl at this point lol and 2) I’ve never heard anyone else mention how searching for this term can increase their success and I’ll be honest, it’s refreshing to see a NEW tip instead of the same ones getting regurgitated by many on this platform that seem to be prioritizing quantity over quality when it comes to their content. Thank you for your time!
