Applying for 100's of jobs with no interview's...? Is this you?
First of all, up to 60% of all job applications are rejected even before seen by human eyes.
Here is the secret as to why your resume is not getting you calls for interviews.
So, because companies now receive hundreds upon hundreds of applications/resumes for even just one open position they have to have a system that will allow them to sort through all of these applicants to find the best fit.
Welcome to...the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
This software allows companies and recruiters to collect, scan, sort and rank the job applicants to find a handful of applicants to interview.
At least 90% of all major companies use this system along with about 50% of smaller companies.
The ATS software system scans your resume vs. the job description and provides the employer and/or recruiter a percentage of match against the keywords in the job description.
If your resume doesn't match up vs. the keywords........No call for an interview for you!
What if there was a way to increase your chances at getting a call?
There is...
We will review your resume and may suggest edits prior to the start of our service.
We will then scan your resume vs. the job description, using a resume scanning software, to then provide you those results giving you a percentage % of match to that job.
You will get to see what "Hard", "Soft" and "Other" keywords are missing from your resume.
You will need to strategically add those words into your resume. Then you’re going to feel more confident applying for those jobs, increasing your changes at getting your resume actually seen and past those evil resume bots.
LinkedIn Tip #4: Headline?
I like to tell my clients your Headline is like the world’s shortest elevator pitch – It’s a great combo with your 10 second Audio recording we discussed in last week's newsletter.
Please do not put the name of the company you work for here. This is your personal brand.
So, let’s say you’re a Project Manager with Amazon… Here is a sample.
Senior Project Manager excelling at Business Strategy | Program Management | Project Planning | Risk Management | Process Improvement | End User Support
Your Headline is SEO (Search – Engine – Optimization) for your Headline.
This is valuable real estate. When recruiters search for people to reach out for on LinkedIn the content you have in your Headline matters. Also, if someone read your Headline, they have a better understanding of some of those Hard Skills you bring to the table. Combine this is a great Audio message and you will spark interest.

Resume Tip #4: Less is More
In my previous career as a hiring manager, I have reviewed a ton of resumes – combined that will what I do now, and I know what people want/like to see a resume look like.
I see too many resumes that have a Bullet point for every line on their resume. If everything has a bullet point, what do you really want me to look at? If you think someone is going to read your entire resume…. For Get About It!!!!! ?
Please only use those Bullet Points for only your amazing Metrics, Accomplishments, and or Achievements.

How do Failures shape your Life?
I would like to thank my new connection Ruchi Rathor for this contribution today.
Failures teach you valuable life lessons about what you should not do in order to achieve success in life. Failures reveal to you the wrong actions you took that were the primary cause of your inability to achieve your goals.
The realization that you haven't accomplished what you set out to do provides you with the motivation to keep trying until you do. Your enthusiasm will be stoked as a result of these obstacles, and you will be more determined and work harder to achieve your objectives as a result.
You will become more resilient and persistent as a result of your setbacks, which will benefit you in the long run. How far you go in life is directly proportional to the number of times you pick yourself up and try again after you've been knocked down.
Your failures help to keep you rooted in reality and in proper perspective, both of which contribute to your overall progress as a person and are ultimately to your advantage.
Failures force you to work harder and in a more effective manner under challenging circumstances, which in turn increases the depth of your enthusiasm towards achieving your objectives.
