Apply Now: £500,000 for Digital Violence Against Women and Girls Reduction Solutions!

Violence against women and girls (VAWG) is something we can actively prevent. There are various effective approaches to this, including taking measures to stop violence before it starts, particularly among children and youth, as well as ensuring that any instances of violence do not happen again after the initial occurrence.

Preventing violence isn't limited to those involved in specialized programs like couples or parenting workshops. We can achieve a wider impact by transforming community norms and practices related to gender and violence.

Grants for Digital Solutions to Reduce VAWG The "What Works to Prevent Violence Impact at Scale Programme" is inviting proposals for three-year innovation grants ranging from GBP 500,000, aimed at women's rights organizations in the Global South dedicated to mitigating violence against women and girls in both humanitarian and development settings.

They encourage proposals that focus on:

- Exploring different delivery platforms and modalities, including media and technology. - Fostering new partnerships between digital rights organizations and women's rights advocates.

- Designing and testing strategies to tackle under-researched forms of violence, such as conflict-related sexual violence and technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), as well as violence arising from climate-related or humanitarian crises.

- Creating solutions for populations or settings with minimal prior experience, such as refugees, ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, or LGBTQ+ communities.

Applicants should showcase their core focus on VAWG prevention, women's rights, gender equality, conflict resolution, and the digital/technology sectors. A measurable reduction in VAWG, especially among the most marginalized women and girls in all their diversity, is essential. Apply Now! The deadline is December 6th, 2024.
