What is Visual Hierarchy?
Visual hierarchy refers to the order in which a user processes information on a page. Its function is to make information easier for users to understand.
By assigning different visual characteristics to sections of information, a designer can influence what users will perceive as being further up in the hierarchy. It directs viewers to the most important information first, and then to secondary content.
There are 6 different principles to consider when it come to visual hierarchy:
Size
Colour
Reading patterns
Spacing
Typeface
Alignment
