Applus+ revolutionises connectivity at Cooper Basin operations centre with Starlink
Applus+ Pacific tackles connectivity issues at a site in the Cooper Basin with innovative satellite technology, Starlink. Due to the remote site location, traditional wi-fi methods failed with limited access and Telstra outages. However, this innovative technology not only overcomes these hurdles but also enhances governance and support for operations at the site. ???
The impact of Starlink at this site is palpable. With transfer speeds exceeding 100Mbps for downloads and 20-25Mbps for uploads, Starlink eclipses the performance of traditional NBN connections. Now, Applus+ personnel can effortlessly access and exchange critical documents, bolstering governance and support over operations.

HQSE: team building with Australia and PNG
Mary Skye Imaka (QHSE Officer) from our Applus+ in Papua New Guinea visited our Australian office in Perth in April.
?? Throughout Skye's trip, she had an opportunity to meet Australian Operations Managers and Technical Authorities, and even managed to get on the ropes at our HQ in Bibra Lake, Perth!
As well as work-related activities, the QHSE team also had a chance to catch up socially, play some darts and share a meal. The darts competition turned into an Australia versus Papua New Guinea competition given that Diandra (also from PNG) joined us for the evening out. ??
A great trip all around and an opportunity for Skye to be more involved in our Australian operations. ?

Internal visits to strengthen regional connections
The Applus+ office in Papua New Guinea (PNG) was pleased to host our Executive Vice President, Adam Alessandrino in mid-April. Our PNG General Manager, James Fraser-Byass was able to introduce him to some clients, including clients that share alignment with the Australian business. ??????????
Adam was able to take the time with the office to share insights into activities in the region, and the global Applus+ activities more broadly. He was also able to attend the Dawn Service on Anzac Day at the Bomana War Cemetery before flying out later that day.
