Applied Intuition acquires CarSim
In March 2022, Applied Intuition acquired Mechanical Simulation Corporation, a provider of vehicle dynamics simulation software most commonly known for its flagship product, CarSim. Mechanical Simulation has been a technology leader in vehicle dynamics simulation software for over 25 years. Its products—CarSim, TruckSim, BikeSim, and SuspensionSim—provide the most accurate and realistic predictions of real-world vehicle behavior. Thanks to the acquisition, Applied and Mechanical Simulation’s customers benefit from improved product collaboration and more rapid feature growth.
Over 500 new features
In August, our team was excited to launch our newest product. Synthetic Datasets provide high-fidelity camera, lidar, radar, and other sensor data for machine learning (ML). We also delivered over 500 new features and product improvements across our suite of simulation, validation, and data management products. This has enabled our customers to solve use cases such as:
Two handbooks
In 2022, we introduced two new handbooks to our customers. Our verification and validation (V&V) handbook provides autonomy programs with best practices for setting up their V&V processes. Our log management handbook discusses the technical building blocks, ideal workflows, and cost management strategies of a comprehensive log data management process.
