Applied Insight Intern: My Internship Journey at EVERSANA

Over this summer, I had the incredible opportunity to work as an Applied Insight intern at EVERSANA, a leading player in the life sciences industry worldwide. This experience was both enriching and impactful, allowing me to contribute to significant projects and broaden my skill set.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to support various pharmaceutical companies in their end-to-end drug development cycles with the power of Data. My responsibilities included utilizing Snowflake to extract data from different data warehouses for comprehensive analysis. This data consisted of detailed information about healthcare professionals (HCPs) across the USA working in various specialties. By performing exploratory data analysis (EDA), I prepared the data for time series forecasting, ensuring accurate and actionable insights.

I also had the opportunity to build initial models and develop machine learning models on AWS SageMaker. These models were designed to predict and rank HCPs, aiding in crucial decision-making processes. Additionally, I worked on live Tableau dashboards to track the progress of different campaigns run by our clients, providing real-time insights and enhancing strategic planning.

Another key aspect of my internship involved working with Salesforce Einstein, a powerful resource for optimizing data and deriving valuable insights. I had the opportunity to contribute to a project that involved building a large language model to extract key information from weekly newsletters. This initiative helped create a comprehensive database to understand real-time data and compare it with historical data, illustrating the transformative role of Generative AI in today's world.

Throughout my time at EVERSANA, I applied various tools and technologies, including Python, Tableau, and Snowflake, to deliver high-quality work efficiently. I also collaborated closely with my colleagues, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of projects.

This internship not only honed my technical skills but also emphasized the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and continuous learning. I am excited to apply these lessons in my future endeavors and continue contributing to the life sciences industry.
