Applications... everywhere!
According to SAP, 84 per cent of cyber attacks happen on the application layer, making it the number one attack surface for hackers. So, why you still prioritising network security?
Here’s an idea…Eliminate vulnerabilities before applications go into production!
Security testing throughout development does not slow the process down…eh, yeah it does…nope, think BIGGER PICTURE! Making security part of the Software Development Life Cycle from beginning to end – actually makes finding and fixing vulnerabilities more efficient and (you guessed it) less $$$ than doing so when an application is ALREADY in production.
Design flaws account for 50 per cent of security vulnerabilities. Secure whilst designing (all aspects)!
In addition to developing secure coding practices, applications and good habits –there are shielding services now that exist so your organisation is not risk accepting whilst pushing out new web facing applications. (www.redshield.co) Voila!!
Over the month of July I’ll be freeing up some of my consultants time to offer advice and assistance to organisations that want to know more! Feel free to yell out or share the post

5 年I totally agree. Security must be baked into your development process!
