I. Introduction

With the advent of the new century, China has added nearly 10 million spindles of spinning production capacity each year. It now has more than 60 million spindles of short-staple spinning capacity and more than 4 million spindles of long-staple spinning capacity. It has more than 100,000 textile and garment production enterprises and is the world's largest textile country. In recent years, about 20,000 spinning machines, 5,000 roving machines, 100,000 looms and various corresponding supporting equipment are produced each year. It can be seen that China is also a major textile machinery producer. In the new century, China will develop from a textile power to a textile power. Textile machinery, as the basis of textile industry technology and equipment, will show qualitative changes. From a textile power to a textile machinery power, it will inevitably vigorously develop textile machinery products with high efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection and high level of automation technology. This is a long-term and arduous task. To achieve this grand goal, improving the level of textile machinery automation technology is one of the most important key technologies. China's textile machinery production is facing more intense competition, which has prompted the development of textile machinery and textile machinery automation technology to present new characteristics, such as variable frequency speed regulation technology, motion control technology, programmable control technology, network technology, etc., which have been promoted and applied in textile machinery. Now we mainly introduce the application characteristics of variable frequency speed regulation technology in textile machinery. (Mainly explain the triangular wave speed regulation)

II. Triangular wave speed regulation

In order to meet the requirements of good yarn winding and no overlapping and collapsed edges, the spinning winding head is composed of friction rollers, grooved drum traverse devices and bobbin clamps, and the motor speed regulation of the grooved drum traverse device must be adjusted according to the triangular wave law shown in Figure 2. The figure is marked with the output frequency of VFD (Variable-frequency Drive). This speed regulation law is usually achieved by adjusting the output frequency by the built-in swing frequency function of VFD (Variable-frequency Drive).

When the VFD (Variable-frequency Drive) drives the traverse motor to the upper frequency f1 or lower frequency f2, the frequency should change suddenly, drop to or rise, and the amplitude of the sudden change frequency is generally about 1% of the basic frequency F1. Theoretically, the time of the sudden change frequency is required to be 0, but in fact, due to the inertia of the traverse device and the motor, the motor speed cannot change suddenly and there is a transition time, which is usually more than 0.1S.
