Apple’s not backing down anytime soon. Actually, they’re taking over. The Apple March 2019 event was done in true Hollywood style.
"Welcome to the Steve Jobs Theater” , echoed Tim Cook. And the show went on.
Apple presented amazing new services that go in line with Apple’s core values.
Tim promises on stage to always bring Apple customers:
- A harmony of services, software and hardware
- Tech that is easy to use, has attention to detail, and is private and secure
- Content personalized to and designed to be shared with their customers
Apple Arcade introducing on-demand Gaming
Apple boasts that iOS has become the largest gaming platform in the world with over 1 billion iOS players. So it’s no surprise that Apple has stepped up its gaming game.
Ann Thai, App Store Senior Product Manager, stands in front of a screen displaying mega gaming partners such as, Sega, Konami and Disney.
Apple Arcade is going to be the world’s first game subscription service. A statement that holds a half truth, considering Google’s Stadia announcement only a few days back.

Apple Arcade allows players to play console high quality games on their mobile, desktop or smart TV. It’s pulling forward an absolutely immersive gaming experience and giving developers a way to reach an entirely new audience.
In the words of Denis Mikan,
“it’s changing everything.”
In just one subscription, you’ll get access to 100+ games available online and offline with no ads and no additional purchases. Apple’s already working with the best in the gaming industry, like Hironobu Sakaguchi the legendary creator of Final Fantasy, to develop innovative games exclusive to Apple Arcade.
And again, Apple will not know what you’re playing and cannot collect data without your consent.
Pricing will be announced, but we know you’ll be able to share a single subscription with your family through Family Sharing.
Apple Arcade is due for release in 150+ countries Fall 2019.
Magazines getting a second chance at life through Apple News+
The first new service we were introduced to was Apple News+, promising a brand new way to experience magazines on mobile. With a single subscription, we’ll be able to flip through $8000 worth of subscriptions for only $9.99 a month, including major newsstand names such as, the LA Times, The Wall Street Journal, Marie Claire and National Geographics.

The mobile magazines are beautifully built with responsive design, shifting between optimum layouts on iPhone and iPad.
Following the Facebook and GDPR fiasco, Apple repeatedly emphasised total security for their customers. Using machine learning and AI, Apple is bringing personalized recommendations not through their servers, but instead completely on device. This means, Apple does not know what we are reading and where we are reading it.
Apple News+ is available now in the US and Canada.
Move over Netflix, Apple TV+ is Coming Soon
Taking over journalism and gaming is not even close to enough for Apple. They’re tackling the big one, Hollywood style entertainment.
Netflix decided not to renew its partnership with Apple and Apple decided to blow Netflix out of the water. Apple TV+ is the newest entertainment destination available for all iOS screens, and for the first time on smart TVs. So you’ll be able to enjoy your favorite TV shows on your iPhone, iPad or in your living room. Not only will we be able to watch shows from streaming networks such as Hulu, we’ll also be able to subscribe to TV channels like Showtime and MTV, all on demand and ad free.
On top of that, Apple TV+ has everything other Apple services do: personalized recommendations, data safety and family sharing.

Apple TV+ will be ad free and available in 100+ countries starting this fall.
