Hello all, and happy Saturday,

I am in McAllen, Texas, for Zoho Day 2024 and have just returned from an awesome visit to SpaceX.

Before we look at the key announcements in this past week relevant to the Future of Work and the digital workplace, I wanted to share with you that I will be speaking in a webinar about enterprise customer experience (not the contact center CX!) on Feb 22. More details here:

Please register to know how ISG research tracks and analyzes the enterprise client sentiment and satisfaction with their technology and service providers.

Let us have a look at the key announcements and happenings this week that I found interesting:

End User Technology

1E enhances its Intune solution

1E announced that it has enhanced its 1E for Microsoft Intune Solution with a new dashboard. More details here:

1E has been on a spree of integrations and enhancing its functionality. Recently it announced AI-based intelligence and integration support with Datadog. The Intune solution was announced in April 2023 as an enhancements on top of Microsoft's leading UEM solution. The focus here is more on automation and visibility and 1E has a strong capability in that area.

Apple brings device management to Vision Pro

苹果 is to bring device management piece to its Vision Pro product in its next release, More details here:

Apple seems to be betting high for enterprise use cases for Vision Pro, although AR usage remains confined to specific industry use cases. Jamf has already announced support for the device. Also, Microsoft announced support for its collaboration suite on Vision Pro last week. This brings interesting use cases for Vision Pro within enterprises. It would be exciting to see how this unfolds in the coming weeks and months!

Managed workplace services

TCS signs new contract with Enento Group

塔塔咨询服务公司 announced that it has signed a new managed services contract with Enento Group, a Nordic information provider. More details here:

Few providers such as TCS can offer a complete end to end digital transformation service portfolio where the impact of digital workplace modernization can be realized in a broader context. This contracts seems to be in that direction.

Wipro's new ebook for field services

维布络 released its new ebook in collaboration with ServiceNow about how it is solving issues and challenges with field workers. You can access it here:

I worked on a field services research project in second half last year and the findings were startling. While organizations leverage modern technologies to support the field and frontline workers, they are not leveraging these solutions to their fullest potential. Looking forward to how Wipro+ServiceNow tackle this challenge.

UCaaS

Microsoft partners with TATA Communications

微软 has partnered with Tata Communications to provide UCaaS solutions to businesses in India. More details here:

While the focus is on MS Teams, it seems it is also on Teams telephony solution that is gaining traction globally. However, clients in India are mostly on a heterogenous technology ecosystem and there is more prominence of competing products, would be interesting to see how Microsoft+TATA tackle that.

Cisco's AI push in Cisco Live

思科 in its Cisco Live event in Europe announced some updates to its Webex solution and other integrations. More details here:

While I have seen the demo of AI-enabled Webex meetings and conferencing, what caught my attention is Cisco's partnership with Apple and its focus on carbon footprint reduction. With low power mode, Cisco Webex can defer its updates to save on energy. Cisco is also supporting collaborations leveraging Apple Vision Pro, that prompts a discussion will Apple Vision Pro be a thing in the normal UCaaS space or remain limited to niche industry segments?

Zoho showcases its Unified view of workplace

In its annual analyst event, Zoho showcased its workplace suite of products covering a broad range of functionalities. It also provided us a sneak peek into whats coming. Zoho is building a unified view of all its applications in one interface that makes things much simpler and abstracts the complicated layers of interdependencies and AI engine working in the background. More on that later!

The RingCentral platform empowers both healthcare providers' internal teams as well as supports their customer support operations. As features and solutions from different UCaaS CCaaS players look indistinguishable with similar approach of generative AI, a specific vertical focus is indeed differentiating.

Productivity and Collaboration

Dropbox onboards McLaren

Dropbox announced that McLaren Racing group has chosen its platform for content collaboration. More details here:

I remember the last Dropbox event and its AI-enabled features for video content. This has been especially highlighted in this engagement.

That's all for the week folks. Please share your thoughts and feedback in comments.

Thanks for all your support
