Apple tricked me into wellbeing

We are being repeated about the dangers on the internet: phishing emails, modified links, bad actors trying to identify themselves as your relatives while trying to steal banking logins or plainly asking for a quick cash. We are used to it; it is grown on us and the sad part - we still get tricked.
Recently, a huge company which net worth as of December 19, 2023, is $3046.63B with the latest software update to their iOS introduced a new free application. The idea is simple - a diary.
Since I was a child, a diary was a magical mystery journal. I imagined that mostly girls are sitting daily (ok, ok, almost daily) to write down their dreams, fears, wishes and open their hearts to release the overwhelming pressure of emotions which are faced by a young person every day to a trusted friend - a diary.
Being a male in post-soviet country, growing up in a family which had a basic understanding about emotional wellbeing, having lack of information: no Internet, no easy access to modern books, low education, and bunch of stigmas: one of them being "gender specific activities" - a diary was not something a boy will do.

Having this in mind, during my 35 (almost 36) years on this planet, I didn't try to put daily thoughts on paper.
Journal - is a well thought out application. It picks up your photos, videos, visited places, even steps taken on your recent walk. It offers to spend couple of minutes to revisit your daily life and add some extra context to it. Add a reflection on what happened to you, to your relatives, to your surroundings, the feelings you had during an activity or sharing a little detail which will put a smile when you come back to this day in a year or two.
Where is the magic? You will ask. Journal enables us to practice gratitude and improve our wellbeing right here on our smartphones.
I believe, a short 2 min reflection will return me a favor in the long run.
