1. Apple is in talks to build Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence engine into the iPhone, according to Bloomberg.
The report outlines how the two companies are currently in negotiations to allow Apple to license Google’s flagship generative AI models, Gemini.
Google already has a multi-billion dollar per year commercial agreement to be the default search engine on Apple. A native Google search feature powered by Gemini could be part of the end product for iPhone users if the agreement is finalized.
Although anti-trust will be an obstacle to any potential deal. There is an open court case deciding whether Google has abused a monopoly in the search market through its deals with device makers, including Apple.
