Is Apple iPhone 6 a phone or video camera?

iPhone 6 - Is it a smartphone or a video camera?

Apple is currently running a campaign “Shot on iPhone 6″ TV ads showing off the iPhone 6's camera abilities

The videos are shot from a variety of places around the world by real people, each clip is about 15 seconds long.

It is accompanied by a pleasing soundtrack.

Undoubtedly these ads are creative and beautifully shot -

BUT IS Apple iPhone 6 A VIDEO CAMERA OR A PHONE?

Not a single word about its USPs or its benefits as a phone.

When you spend Rs. 55000 to Rs. 81000 you definitely get a video camera which has far superior features than an iPhone 6!

I really wish David Ogilvy was alive today for his expert comments on this ad!

PS: A still from this ad appears.

Smart phone ads mainly focus on additional features than basic functions!! That's marketing and the value for your product!!!

Vivekji, the primary need is 'phone.'.It is fulfilled by IPhone 6. Whereas, the aspirational need is 'video '. There is a convenience factor in that . Who wants to carry separately ? So, if Ogilivy was alive, may be he would have evolved his thinking . Who knows ?
